Childbirth Classes
Duration:   4 weeks, 2 1/2 hours per week
Time: 6:30 to 9:00 pm
Fee: $100.00 per family

The Childbirth Class prepares patients in their third trimester, and after 24 weeks, and their partners for childbirth, post partum care, breast feeding, and readying a home for the baby.

Classes cover:

  • Physical changes,                  
  • Nutrition,
  • True versus false labor,
  • Pain management,
  • Cesarean sections,
  • Breathing techniques,
  • Breastfeeding, and
  • Preparing the home.


 

Bring:  Pillow, snack, and beverage
Wear:  Comfortable clothing
Location:  Southdale Medical Building

Parking:  Free street-level partking in front and back of building

Stacy Mosow, R.N., Childbirth Educator

Ms. Mosow has over 18 years of registered nursing experience, 13 in the area of Women’s Health.

Her special medical interests include labor and delivery, pre- and postnatal education and urology nursing. She obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN.   Stacy is also certified as a Childbirth Educator with the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA).   She enjoys volunteer work, traveling, cooking and spending time with her husband and two children.
