Classes

At Paul Larson OB/GYN Clinic we value our patients and offer a variety of classes to help expectant parents learn the changes that childbrith brings to wayt to reduce stress with meditation.

Below you will find the current classes we have avalible.

Childbirth Classes
Duration:   4 weeks, 2 1/2 hours per week
Time: 6:30 to 9:00 pm
Fee: $75.00 per family

The Childbirth Class prepares patients in their third trimester, and after 24 weeks, and their partners for childbirth, post partum care, breast feeding, and readying a home for the baby.

Classes cover:

  • Physical changes,                  
  • Nutrition,
  • True versus false labor,
  • Pain management,
  • Cesarean sections,
  • Breathing techniques,
  • Breastfeeding, and
  • Preparing the home.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program
Duration:   8 weeks; 2 1/2 hours per week
Time: 6:30 - 9:00 pm
Fee: $285 (includes instruction, book, and CDs)

Mindfulness...
Is the practice of cultivating non-judgmental awareness in day-to-day life. It develops the potential to experience each moment, no matter how difficult or intense, with greater serenity and clarity.

Mindfulness meditation can help one feel better, sleep better, and increase ability to cope with stressful situations, improve self-esteem and renew enthusiasm for life and work. One can feel more alive, joyful and gain immediate access to powerful inner resources for improving health and healing.
